Currently I’m almost exclusively using Windows (with WSL2) for both work and pleasure. Having used Linux on and off since 1996 there are things that I miss. In particular I miss the command line, the shells and the environment arround that. It has improved on Windows with the Windows Terminal and some off the cross platform projects coming up.

However, on the Desktop Environment side I’ve missed the resource overview charts that are available in most environments such as KDE, Gnome, XFCE etc. I mean the little area of the task bar where a chart is showing the CPU, network, disk etc usage. I knew that if the Windows (11) Task Manager is open then a CPU monitor appears in the Sys-tray. However, I did not know that if you go to the Performance tab and double click e.g. the CPU activity

Having users in other time zones can lead to problems. In particular if dates (for historic reasons) are represented as time stamps - that is, a time of day is included.

In order to do manual tests it is beneficial to be able to run your browser as if it was running in another time zone.

On Edge in Windows (probably you’ll find something like that in other browsers) - you can do it via the Developer Tools (F12) and under the “Sensors” tab there is the option the change your location. You may create extra locations than the pre-defined. Use the TZ Database Time Zones.

I do like to use Microsoft Edge as my main browser. I use one profile for work and one for personal things. I’ve changed a couple of settings to better fit my way of working
